Island hopping in Seychelles gathers interest as STB attends the Swiss International Holiday Exhibition in Lugano

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) raised the island destination’s profile at the 15th edition of ‘Salone Internazionale Svizzero di Lugano.’ The annual event is held in Lugano city in southern Switzerland’s Italian-speaking Ticino region.

Also known as the ‘Swiss International Holiday Exhibition,’ the three-day event is one of the biggest tourism fairs in Switzerland.

The Seychelles’ delegation at this year’s edition held from October 27 to 29, was led by STB’s Director in Italy, Monette Rose.

Tourism Minister leads Seychelles’ delegation at the World Travel Market 2017 in London

Seychelles was represented by a strong delegation at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) in London.

The World Travel Market is one of the leading global event for the travel and tourism industry. The 2017 edition was held from November 6 to 8.

The country’s Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine, Ambassador Maurice Loustau-Lalanne, and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Derick Ally, were present at the Seychelles’ stand on the opening day.

Seychelles Tourism Board joins ‘Florilèges’ consumer fair in Reunion, records increased interest in the destination

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) took part in ‘Florilèges 2017’ – an annual consumer fair in Reunion Island.

The STB office in Reunion was invited to join the stand of Wel'Come Vacances – one of the island’s well established travel agency.

Senior Marketing Executive in Reunion, Bernadette Honore represented STB at the event from October 19 to 21.

Seychelles Tourism Board prepares to round off a successful 2017 in Abu Dhabi with celebration of the Creole culture

As Seychelles celebrated the 32nd edition of ‘Festival Kreol’ during the month of October, the Seychelles Tourism Board took the opportunity to showcase some aspects of this annual celebration of the island’s culture and tradition in Abu Dhabi.

A cultural evening was organised at Hilton Abu Dhabi’s Hiltonia Lake Garden on Thursday October 26.

Some 120 guests including Seychelles’ new Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Jean-Claude Adrienne, Seychellois nationals living in the UAE, travel trade partners, media representatives among others, were in attendance.

Tourism Minister meets official and students from Northwestern State University of Louisiana as part of exchange programme with Seychelles Tourism Academy

Strengthening inter-cultural relations between Seychelles and the U.S, particularly in the field of tourism and hospitality studies was largely discussed as the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation Ports and Marine, Ambassador Maurice Loustau-Lalanne met with the Vice President for University Affairs at Northern State University (NSU) in Louisiana, Dr. Marcus Jones.

Minister Loustau-Lalanne welcomed Dr Jones at his ministry’s headquarters at Botanical House, Mont Fleuri, on Friday November 3, 2017.

Their meeting follows the signing in July this year of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Northern State University (NSU) and the Seychelles Tourism Academy (STA).

The Seychelles Tourism Board unveils new summer billboard campaign in South Africa

With the start of the summer promotional season in South Africa and the upcoming festive season break, the Seychelles Tourism Board has added an exciting element to its promotional efforts on the market.

STB’s office in South Africa launched a new billboard campaign early October, which will run for six weeks.

Several billboards -- each targeting a particular niche such as beach holidays, family holidays and romancing in the Seychelles – have been put up across Johannesburg.
